Dr. Kamyar Giglou

Kamyar Giglou, D.M.D

Kam Giglou, D.M.D. attended University of Toronto known as the highest ranked Canadian university, where he double majored in Human Biology and Physiology and graduated with honours and high distinction. He earned his DMD degree from Ivy league University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he earned numerous awards, including multiple best teaching awards. Dr. Giglou was then accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at Boston University Medical Center which is a level 1 trauma center.  He also trained at the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Veteran Affairs Hospital.

His training included extensive experience with dentoalveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, office based anesthesia, trigeminal nerve injury and microsurgical repair, implant surgery and preprosthetic bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, pathology and surgical oncology. He completed a General Surgery internship, won awards and scholarships, and was appointed as Chief Resident while in residency training.

Dr. Giglou is a board-eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, office based anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, oral pathology and orthognathic surgery. He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is committed to serving the community and has been active in several clinics throughout his surgical residency. Dr. Giglou has a passion for traveling and cooking and enjoys running along the Charles River, swimming, and Boston sports.
